More about Akeron...
Akeron started his show carreer in grand style by winning Puppy in show at the Lövudden Specialty -98, among other wins. At 21 months of age, he had already won 5 CC's in Sweden and 1 in Norway; having gone Best of Breed in Sweden, BOS at the Norweigan Specialty and Best Intermediate dog and 8th best dog at the Swedish Specialty. Akeron was ranked #4 most successful RR in Sweden 1999. Akeron attained his Swedish and Norweigan Championship on June 4, 2000.
In 2001, Akeron completed his Nordic Ch by winning the dog CC at both the Danish and the Finnish Specialty. He gained his international title winning BOB at the Finnish Winner show and ended the year by going BOB (of 87 RRs) and BIG-2 at the Swedish Winner show. He was #6 at the Swedish top ten list.
In 2002, Akeron added a very prestigious title to his name. Out 164 dogs who attended the World Winner show in Amsterdam, Akeron managed to take home the Best of Breed-win, making him World Winner 2002 (WW-02). In Sweden, Akeron was only sparingly shown but nevetheless managed some very nice placements, including BOB-wins and was ranked No 7 most successful RR of the year.
In 2004, Akeron took a trip to UK and managed to bring home ResCC dog CC at the prestigious Crufts dog show, the world's largest show.
In 2005, Akeron was back in the rings after semi-retirement, now competing as a veteran. In spite of his age, he still had plenty to say the ring and as of July he has gathered points rendering him a nice place among the top 5 RRs in the country. At the large two-day show in Tvååker, Akeron won best male both day with 1 x BOS, 1 x BOB and an impressive Best in Group-win. Akeron ended the year as No 4 RR in the country. This boy certainly couldn't be counted out quite yet!
In 2006, Akeron commenced his winning ways. The biggest achievement is a prestigious BOS at the huge European Winner show in Helsinki. At this show, Akeron was awarded European Veteran Winner and he proceeded to take out BIS-veteran at the Friday's competitions! Yet another title was added to Akeron's list of merit as he won World Veteran Winner 2008 at the age of 10 1/2.
Akeron has been approved at an official temperment test (gunproof). He also trains obediance and does blood tracking.
