2005-07-31 - Hero-son shows his front paws!
Hero-son Bawabu Ukungu Uchao "Chao" started his official show carreer in grand style, winning his first CC by going BOB and BIG-2. We're very, very proud of this stunning livernosed guy who no doubt will continue his winning ways. Big congratulations to breeder Satu Laakso and proud owner Johannis Vallivaara! 2005-07-31 - Iving wins another CC... and more Hero-kids in action!
Iving placed 3rd best bitch winning yet another CC at the show in Moss today, breed entry 30. Congratulations Bente! At the same show, RV Kazan was 2nd in junior with HP and placed 3rd in winner's class. At this show. Soltoppen's Batuuli by Hero was BOB-puppy, won the group and ended up Puppy in Show-3! Batuuli's brother Bashiri won BOB-puppy, BIG and Puppy in Show-5 at another show. What a day for Hero's kids!!

2005-07-30 - Ransäter show
50+ RRs entered and only two RVs present to fly the flag. Very well done by the Ohgami-boys who both kept the competition in check! Ikaros went from intermediate class to 2nd best dog and Haranyo won an open class of 10 entries and placed 5th best male. Very nice results for the boys, although of course we're are amazed at home many "close sniffs" these boys will have at winning CCs... ;) Hopefully before long!

2005-07-29 - New fieldtracking brag
Risto (RV Jaristo) and Jindra both attended field tracking open class and were awarded 1st prizes with honour's prize. Only one more 1st to go for Risto, Jindra AND brother Bailey before they receive their tracking titles. Well done!

2004-07-24 -  Västerås int all breed show, breed entry 41, judge Paul Hewitt, Australia
We had a nice and relaxed day, not least as we got to enjoy some sun instead of the rain and thunder which the weather forecast had predicted. The RV's did really well, especially on the bitch side, although the biggest achievement of the day was Ch RV Akeron's Best Veteran in Show-2 from 30+ competitants!! Big congrats to Maria and Robert on their "old" boy's prestigious win - not to mention young Navy's very first Best of breed-win! What a day for you and the fellas! :)

5) Lyngsta Ridgen's Cenzoo (Isak grand-son!)

2005-07-21 - Gabon's Austrian babies born!
RV Gabon sired his first litter by Urbi Sheila Ayaba in Austria. There were 7 pups of which all were ridged and 3 livernosed puppies! Big congrats to proud "grannies" Jette Rye and Nada Nicolic as well as to the breeder!

2005-07-19 - More UK show news

At the East of England Championship Show, our Scottish export RV Gabriza won her 2nd CC and now only has one to go before becoming a UK champion. Big congratulations to the proud owners at Sonstraal kennels! Can't wait to have new pics of this gorgeous livernosed beauty!

2005-07-16 - Farrah wins her 12th CC
Fantabulous Farrah again had an excellent time in the ring, this time at a specialty (details will follow). She won an open class with 21 entries and proceeded to win best bitch with her 12th CC. Breed entry was 146! Farrah's son Nyassa Adam won his class and was beat by his kennel buddy Nyassa Bruk for best male puppy. Adam's sister Aly was 2nd in the bitch class. Big congratulatons!!!

2005-07-16/17 - Swedish National Specialty, judge Ms Charlotte Strickland, UK, breed entry 120
We had an absolutely thrilling weekend at the National Specialty in Västerås. Loads of good friends were attending and there were many dogs to enjoy. Thanks to all who made this specialty such a pleasure to attend - for your company, sportmanship and considerate help with my baby. Special thanks Emmy for a lovely time!

The weekend started with obediance trials which started at eight in the morning on Saturday (meaning that my poor houseguest from Holland had to get up at 5 am for us to be at the show grounds in time...). Tinja and Mega were competing in class 2 and 3 respectively and both would have received 1st prizes if they hadn't made silly mistakes. Slightly annoying but that's how it is when you compete... We'll be at it again before long!

Saturday's show started out with the puppy classes. We were very proud to see our young boy Bandit - at his show debut 4 1/2 months old - take out Best of breed from the 4-6 months class, with his sister Brizette going BOS. In the 6-9 months class, Hero-daughter Soltoppen's Batuuli by Hero was BOB. In the final run between Bandit and Batuuli, our little stunner managed Puppy in Show! We're very proud!

The judging continued with junior males. It was great to meet up with no less than five of our lovely K-boys, although these boys at 9 months still have tons of maturing to do. Their time will no doubt come though! The judge proved to be fairly generous with second prizes but the majority of our somewhat gangly boy found grace under her eye. Big congratulations to Kenzo who won the big class (13 competing) with champion quality!! Second in the class, also with champion quality, was Hero-son Vereus Qoya's Naughty by Nature "Balzac". Well done Tina!

In intermediate class there was once again 13 boys competing. Jabailey and Jaristo were the only RV dogs and we were very happy to see them take 1st and 2nd in the class, both with champion quality. Big congrats Jill and Malena/Lasse! Fourth in the class was "grand-son" Anzantra's Chief Cherokee and fifth Maria and Robert's Navy, Rijstone Aussie Rules. Well done!

In open class only three dogs were awarded 1st prizes in quality, from eleven entries. The open class winner was N DK Ch Masithela's Irresistable Chango, closely followed by Evergrace's Gladiator Phoenix (Ch RV Akeron x RV Estancia) - both dogs with champion quality.

The champion male class had six entries and the winner of the class was Multi Ch Ukukhanya Scout the Red Baron, also from Norway. Multi Ch Rex Ventors Akeron was awarded best veteran with champion quality. Ten dogs are placed at our National Specialty, placements as follows.

1) Multi Ch Ukukhanya Scout the Red Baron
2) N DK Ch Masithela's Irresistable Chango #CC and New Swedish Champion!#
3) Rex Ventors Jabailey
4) Alfalyans Pintus
5) Ch Djungelkattens Superridged Spirit
6) Ch Mankoya's Great Gambo
7) Multi Ch Rex Ventors Akeron #BIS-veteran#
8) Evergrace's Gladiator Phoenix
9) Rex Ventors Kenzo
10) Ch Djungelkattens Superridged Sauvage

We had three boys in the top ten, ranging from the youngest to the oldest, which was an excellent result!

On Sunday, the judging continued with the bitch classes. Again we had a wonderful time and some super results. In intermediate bitch class (18 entries), Ch RV Fayora-daughter Stardust Amila was 1st with champion quality, followed by our RV Iyeliz, also with champion quality. Iving also made it to the final seven.

In the open bitch class, RV girls Genova and Hilandra both received first prizes and Hilandra finally won the huge class of 24 girls! Excellent work by Bonnie Holmström who handled both winners in inter and open! Second place in the class went to Roseridge Reflection, also with champion quality. Big congrats Sonja - you don't need any handling lessons! ;)

The champion bitch class was really strong and we were very honoured to receive the top two places in the class. (Although I seemed to place 2nd in every single class I handled in, in spite of wearing red - the color of the 1st place... Next time I will have a blue outfit on!) Helinn won the class in grand style, handled by Sofie and Tinja and I were second. In the veteran class, Demi was second (what else? ;) with honour's prize and we had so much fun in the ring. My little queen still likes to show off! Winner of the class was lovely Ch CaineAbel's Red Lotus, an eleven year old beauty who made her last appearance in the ring. Big congratulations to breeder/owner Ulla Thedin!

In the best bitch class, we did a total grand slam winning the top three (almost four...;) placements! Helinn won the class, followed by Tinja. Helinn's sister Hilandra then placed third, winning her very first CC in super stiff competition. BIG BIG congratulations Marie and Bonnie and all of the Holmström family! It was about time that we see this little girl do great things in the ring! Fourth place went to our "grand-child" Stardust Amila - who, like Hilandra is a part of the Stardust family. So a truly excellent weekend for the Stardust clan as well. Big congrats to Bitte and Marie! Best bitch class consequently;

1) Int S N Ch NordJV-03 EUW-05 Rex Ventors Helinn
2) Multi Ch/Winner Rex Ventors Cetinja
3) Rex Ventors Hilandra #CC#
4) Stardust Amila
5) Roseridge Replica
6) Ch Caineabel's Red Triumph Tara
7) Exgate's Qi by Forrest
8) Ch Lövfällans Quid pro Quo
9) Shangaza's Appetite 4 Destruction
10) Djungelkattens Vainly ridged Vilda

In the finals, the judge decided to award the winning male Best in Show and BISS-05 and Helinn was BOS. In the veteran finals, Akeron was awarded Veteran in Show. Excellent work by this youthful senior and his mum! The progeny group was won by Ch Zumeli's Ashiki with progeny and Rex Ventors were awarded Breeder in Show!

Aka RV Khomeranee, aged 9 months

2005-07-11 - More tracking results
Jindra awarded 1st prize and Risto 1st prize with HP at open class field tracking! This was the first start in open class for these siblings and we wish them best of luck with their continued tracking carreers!

2005-07-10 - Akeron Best of breed and Best in Group!
For the second time this weekend, Akeron brought home a lovely Best male win, competing from veteran class. Akeron was also awarded Best of Breed and the critique was outstanding. In a BIS-veteran finale which had 30+ competitors, Akeron was still in the run when 7 dogs remained but was unplaced in the final five. The group finals went better - Akeron topped off his previous achievement by winning Best in Group under Gunnar Nymann, DK! The breed judge was Arne Thorn, Norway and breed entry 60+. This veteran certainly has as much spunk and show presence as always and will continue to own the rings for several more years, we're sure! Big congratulations to Maria and Robert!!! Congrats also to lovely Jamila for 2nd place in inter with championquality!

2005-07-10 - Jamila's hips and elbows
We're very happy to announce that Jamila's scores have come back hips grade A and elbows 0/0! Big congrats to Emma and Nicklas!

Two pics of gorgeous Jamila...

2005-07-09 - Angelie's Christening
Our youngest daughter had her Christening today and we had a terrific day in the company of family and friends. The weather was fantastic and after a special time in the church we proceeded to have buffé in the garden. We had a great time and want to thank all who attended for sharing this special day with us, and of course for all the lovely gifts. Thanks also to Robert and Maria who sent flowers and regards from ringside in Tvååker.

Angelie 5 months - on the day of her Christening, June 9th

2005-07-09 - Tvååker, Halmstad KC show, judge Anne Mc Donald, UK Breed entry 66
While we were at home celebrating Angelie's Christening, some RV-dogs were nevertheless defending the honour's in the ring. At the Tvååker show we were proud to see 7 1/2 year old Multi Ch RV Akeron take out best male and BOS (handled by Robert in best dog). Akeron also made the cut for Veteran in Show but wasn't in the final five. Maria and Robert really had a grand slam this day with their other boy, Navy (Rijstone Aussie Rules) going 2nd to Akeron and winning his first Swedish CC. RV Jamila also attended and won the intermediate bitch class. Big congratulations! Best of breed was Ch Stenänga Binti Mfalme.

2005-07-09 - Alfta KC show, judge (TBA) Breed entry 41
At the Alfta show, a handful of RV's were competing and although the judge was all but generous with CK's we were proud to see our dogs in the top. Only four dogs receieved CK of all the competing dogs! BOB this day, winning her 3rd CC was RV Isola who also placed Best in Group-3 (handled by Mike Ohgami in the group - certainly a good day for the male handlers! ;) 2nd best bitch was Ch RV Genova. The dog class was won by Evergrace's Gladiator Phoenix (Ch RV Akeron x RV Estancia) who thus won his 2nd CC - only one to go for champion! Well done! 2nd best dog was RV Jaristo. Super congrats to all of you!

2005-07-09 - German show news
RV Iving took a trip to Germany and showed under Ms Karin von Klaveren. The breed entry was 50 and we were very proud to hear that Iving had managed Best bitch in stiff competition! :

2005-07-04 – K-litter summary
Just had to add that the K-litter had an extraordinary debut weekend in the official classes, with Katano receiving HP and an honourable 2nd place in stiff competition, Yenna being awarded championquality and best bitch-placement and Kenzo and Kazan already winning their first CCs! It will be very exciting to follow these young ones and their sibblings in the rings!

2005-07-03/04 - Gotland International/National KC All breed champ show
As always our short vacation on the island of Gotland offered a great time and this year we were happy to share it with many of our dear RR-friends. Magnus, myself and the A’s (Anaelle 23 months and Angelie 4 ½ months), not to mention our ladies Tinja and Demi, shared cabins with Malena and Lasse and their RV Jaristo “Risto”. So the girls had an excellent time having a young innocent boy to tell off or play with – depending on the mood. ;)

We were also pleased to hang out with Ninna & Thomas, kids Lovisa, Noah and Max and RV Kayenne “Yenna”, Malin & Rickard, kids Joel and Elin and RV Ivanna, Jill and family with RV Jabailey “Bailey”, Eva & Kjell with kids Alexandra and Isabelle and RV Hero and RV Iyeliz, Jenny & Micke with kids Ronja and Nelly and fourlegged Indra (RV Bentley-daughter) and Ayla (Magic-daughter), and finally Tina & Håkan with dogs and puppy buyers from Vereus Qoya. We also met up with John & Maria with RV Fahrenheit “Fargo” and RV Caballero “Jero”. So plenty of friends and doggy family on the island!

The first day of showing was at international KC show under judge Mr Boo Lundström. 35 RRs were entered. Risto placed 2nd in inter, Bailey 1st in working dog and Fargo 1st in champion. Bailey was awarded best dog, winning his 2nd CC and first cacib, with Fargo plaing 2nd best male. Third and fourth best males were RV Elantra-sons from kennel Anzantra. In the bitch class, Yenna won junior. Ivanna and Iyeliz were 1st and 2nd in inter, with honour’s prize. Best bitch with CC/cacib and BOB to Bailey this day was Demi and Tinja’s Finnish half-sister Harjaselän Kynsiharja, who completed her Swedish championtitle – big congratulations to proud owners and breeders!

BOS with CC/CACIB RV Jabailey and BOB with CC/CACIB Ch Harjaselän Kynsiharja

The second day of show was at national KC show under judge Mr Paul Stanton. Risto again was 2nd in his class, Bailey 1st and Fargo 1st, but neither of the boys received championquality. Best dog with CC was Zaxxon’s King Axe, half-brother of our G-litter, second best dog was . just into junior class – Hero-son Vereus Qoya’s Naughty by Nature “Balsac”and 3rd Ella-son Anzantra’s Super Trouper. – congratulations! Yenna won junior bitch again, this time with CK. Ivanna was 2nd in inter with HP. Yenna was the highest placed RV-dog at this show, finishing nicely as 4th best bitch after two champions and CC-winner Djungelkattens Windflower to Priest. Not bad for Yenna, just 9 month and a few days old! Ch Harjaselän Kynsiharja was once again awarded BOB. Well done!

2005-07-03/04 – Norway News
We were very proud to hear that our Norwegian export Kazan, at just 9 months of age was awarded best dog and his first CC on the 3rd. The following day, Kazan was again awarded best dog but didn’t receive championquality due to immaturity and this didn’t get the CC. BOB both days was Kazan’s kennelmate Soltoppen’s Kamili Sacha and BOB and BOS-puppy both days were Sacha and RV Hero’s kids Soltoppens Batuuli by Hero and Soltoppens Bakari by Hero. Pictures from Norway at Soltoppens site >>

2005-07-03 - Piteå International KC show
Defending the honours up north were RV Kenzo and Ch RV Hazel who both did very well. Kenzo had his first official show, just into junior class, and as could be expected by this multiple Puppy in Show-winner, he showed his worth right away. Kenzo won his 1st CC and finished 2nd best male. Our Norwegian top-winner Hazel was awarded CC, cacib and BOS thus completing her Swedish and Nordic Championtitle. Super congrats to proud owners Grete and Kerstin on the achievements of your dogs!

2005-07-03 – Borås International show
49 RRs were entered at the Borås show under Kate Keely from Australia. Katano made his debut in official class and from a strong junior class placed 2nd in class with HP, only beat by the young Pendeza’s Fahari Wiser who went all the way to best male. Helinn’s co-owner Janan Dogan made her debut with Helinn in the ring and from what we hear (and can tell from photos) Janan did a great job! Helinn won the championbitch class and placed 2nd best bitch after Hayawani Zerafina Moyo who completed her championtitle and won BOB – big congratulations to breeder/owners at Hayawani kennels! RV Jamila placed 3rd in inter with honour's prize.

2005-07-03 – Hamnudden-babies born!
After a rather dramatic delivery we are happy to announce that mum Leia and her newborns are doing fine. Ikaros’ first litter consists of five gorgeous, nicely colored and even sized babes – all with show ridges. No DS or excess white. One boy to keep his four sisters in their place (yeah right!). More pics of the babies will be found at Hamnuddens kennel >>
