More about Helinn...
Helinn is one of the established Rex Ventors' show star. She joined the Rex Ventors gang in 2002 - along with litter brother Hero. They are both from the highly succesful H-litter, of which Helinn was top RR in Sweden 2004, Hero top RR male in Sweden 2004 and sister Hazel top RR in Norway 2004. Helinn also has a strong lead for Top RR 2005 as of September. Helinn lives on breeder's terms with Janan Dogan and family, just five minutes from the RV pack, so we're very happy to see a lot of this sweet girl in our every day lives. We're also very greatful to Janan and Serkan for never forgetting the sweet and charming personality which is Helinn, under the beautiful exterieur. Helinn is first and foremost a loved and appreciated family member and companion.
Helinn has had an amazing show carreer to date. Already as a baby, she managed to win Puppy in Show twice at large Kennel club all breed shows and was also awarded Puppy in Show at the SRRS Stockholm Easter show. At nine months of age, just into junior class, Helinn won her first CC and was BOS over several champion bitches. As she left the junior class, she had won an impressive five CCs and been awarded Nordic Junior Winner 2003 (NordJV-03). Helinn was without comparison the top RR show dog in Sweden in 2004. She holds the CC record having won 24 CCs before finishing her championtitle, just after turning 2 years of age. She won Best in Show at the National Anniversary specialty 2004 and at the Gothenburgh Specialty show. At all breed shows she has won the group on several occations and also managed BIS-4 which is very rare for our breed. Already in August 2004, it was clear that no other dog would be able to beat Helinn for Top Ridgeback 2004, due to the massive amount of points she had already collected through her winning.
In 2005 Helinn has continued her winning ways. She has won another two Best in Specialty - BISS from 100 entries at the RR Club Easter show under breed specialist Ms Paula Edgar of Macumazahn kennels, Australia and BISS at the RR Club Västra's specialty show under breed specialist Ms Patrice Johansen of Jomeja kennels, Australia. On June 4th, Helinn also added a very prestigious title to her name when she won best bitch and CACIB at the European Winner show in Austria. She thus became European Winner 2005 as well as completed her international champion title! Helinn has also managed BOS at the Swedish and Norwegian national specialties as well as completed her Finnish and Nordic Ch by winning BOB and BIG at Eckerö International in Finland. Helinn ended the year by adding a new title to her name - Swedish Winner 2005. She is also once again Sweden's top winning Rhodesian ridgeback. 2006 has been yet another eventful year for Helinn. Early in the year, she had her first litter to Ch Rex Ventors Jabailey "Bailey". Bailey and Helinn's pups are showing great promise and are already from the puppy classes making their mark in the show rings. Two of her handsome sons were exported to breeders abroad - we wish Majesty the best of luck in Russia and Maverick in Canada! As Helinn returned to the ring after maternal duties, it was with more showmanship than ever. She has stutted her stuff to 7 BOB-wins (up to August 13), including BOB at European Winners in Helsinki (thus another European Winner title!) and BOB at Norwegian Winners (with the new title Norwegian Winner 2006). She is once again in the lead for top RR in Sweden - for the third consequtive year.
Apart from showing, Helinn has two main hobbies: 1) lure coursing and 2) fieldtracking. Lurecoursing would be Helinn's favourite passtime in the world (except possibly for eating meatballs). In Sept -05, Helinn completed the requirements for Swedish Fieldtrackingchampion.
