More about Bailey...
Shaka was chosen as the sire of Lacey's first litter primarily on account
of his outstanding temperament and impressive mentality test, graded by
guru Barbro Börjesson. I am very pleased to see the pups take after
their sire's laidback and confident personality as well as their dam's
sociable side and willingness to work. Conformation-wise, the litter has
turned out beyond what you can hope for, with the progeny picking up the
best traits of both parents.
Given that this combination turned out so well both in temperament and
looks, we are very fortunate to co-own Bailey with Jill Widing. Bailey
is a heavy-boned dog with excellent breed type and pigmentation. In spite
of being of heavier build, his length in body and elegant outline well
saves him from being coarse. He has an impressive, capatious ribcage and
the correct, well-shaped and nicely filled front of grand-sire Beks.
Being a very confident and self-assured young man, Bailey certainly provides
Jill with quite a challenge. Jill and Bailey has already put in a lot
of training in the obediance department and are training towards
obediance class 1. Luckily, Bailey enjoys training and performs
very well when he chooses to. Bailey thoroughly enjoys field tracking
training and easily completed his fieldtracking championship. At his first two starts in open class, he received a 1st prize with honour's prize and in three starts, Bailey got the three 1st prizes required for Swedish fieldtrackingchampion.
This gentle boy is one of our daughter Anaelle's favourites and they
still play together with her toys even as he's reached a considerable
size and is now a lot bigger than she is.
Bailey was sparingly shown in the puppy classes and his biggest
achievement was winning Puppy in Show at the Swedish Specialty
2004 out of 40 puppies. As a youngster, Bailey did very well, winning his class at almost every show he's attended and already had two CCs under his belt at 18 months. Bailey completed his show championtitle in grand style, going BOB with a breed entry of 50+ at Österbybruk show in June 2006. Bailey has sired two promising litters of which one is Rex Ventors M-litter. He has a third litter on the way in Norway.
